The Minnesota Federal Execuitve Board provides communication services, interagency policy, and training to over 80 Federal government agencies for emergency preparedness. Some of the agencies the FEB works with are the FEMA, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnesota Department of Health, American Red Cross, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD), Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers (AMEM), and the Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association (MEMA).
The Federal Executive Board of Minnesota is designated by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to communicate emergency messages and closure notices to the Federal workforce in the state. The FEB plays an important role in OPM’s continuity of government plans to coordinate information among all Minnesota Federal agencies in the event of a man made or natural disaster to the National Capitol Area. The FEB’s website serves as a critical resource to all Federal government agencies to obtain consolidated information on a wide variety of Homeland Security information and training resources. The office annually sponsors 4-6 Intergovernmental emergency exercises or trainings.
