The Senior Leaders Institute (SLI) is an intergovernmental, community-based leadership development program designed for senior federal employees. The purpose of this course is to provide a full complement of executive education programs that meet the professional development goals of attendees. The SLI is comprised of GS 14 & 15 high potential managers primed for career advancement to seasoned senior executives seeking new insight into today’s complex challenges.

This is a broad-based program that will incorporate simulations, experiential activities, and case studies to help leaders realize their full potential. Focused topics include programs that explore leading innovation, developing talent, and empowering people, inspiring collaboration and teamwork, mastering decision making within the fast changes of our environment, and Leading with influence.
The purpose of this training is to provide leadership development to Federal agency employees in response to the growing demand for effective leaders who can address emerging challenges facing federal agencies. Participants are offered opportunities to learn models of successful leadership from top management and key decision-makers in Cleveland area government, public, and private sectors.
Senior Leaders Institute Program Goals

As the world of business changes at breakneck speed, executives must stay at the forefront of management thinking and practice. This program delivers a wealth of new knowledge and insights for managing change with confidence in the 21st century.

Your success as a leader ultimately depends on persuading others to adopt and run with your winning ideas. This program combines cutting-edge behavioral research with compelling interactive learning to improve your ability to work with and through others to drive success.

Application Criteria
The SRI seeks a broad cross-section of employees in grades GS-14, GS-15, Senior leadership, or any equivalent grade / rank who want to continue to develop their leadership skills and who will commit to advancing interagency collaboration for Federal initiatives in local communities. Subject matter and competencies are specifically designed for these levels.

The program will involve 2 sessions a month for 10 months. Each session is three hours long.

SLI Expenses
Tuition is $2500.00 (check preferred) and should be submitted to Cleveland FEB Office by the sponsoring agency, by January 13, 2022. If you pay by credit card, credit card fees will be applied to your tuition costs. Questions on payment can be sent to anna.j.vedouras.civ@mail.mil
